5 really good reasons to invest in The Radnor Arms, New Radnor's last pub

Imagine owning a tiny part of a village pub. You don’t have to do anything but enjoy the feeling of knowing you've secured its future. As our Share Offer nears its closing date, these last few days are more critical than ever to consider investing in The Radnor Arms - the last pub in the picturesque Powys village of New Radnor in Wales.

There’s so many good reasons to become a shareholder in The Radnor Arms and help to secure New Radnor’s last watering hole as a community pub. However, as time is short, we’ve narrowed it down to five really good key reasons. If you haven’t thought about investing already, we hope you’ll consider it now.

1. The Radnor Arms will offer more than a pint

Buying a share in The Radnor Arms will be a social investment. As a community pub, The Radnor Arms will be the heart of the village. It will be a place to meet, where people feel safe, where generations come together, and where no-one need ever feel lonely. The pub will open its doors to friends old and new, to new ideas, new ventures, new associations and new networks.

2. The Radnor Arms will create jobs

The pub will provide employment, work experience, skill acquisition, and harness the skills of existing and new volunteers. It will also embody the principles of compassionate communities - where the needs of all inhabitants in a community are recognised and met, the wellbeing of the entire community is a priority, and all people and living things are treated with respect - through equality, diversity, and inclusion.

3. An open pub in New Radnor will be good for your business

Do you have a holiday let or operate holiday accommodation? Having a pub that’s open in the village of New Radnor will be a fantastic asset that complements and enhances the existing thriving tourism and hospitality businesses in and around The Radnor Valley. If your guests love a good local pub recommendation or somewhere good to go locally for a Sunday roast, we hope that The Radnor Arms can be added to this list.

4. An open pub in New Radnor will be good for your friends and family

We’re seeking as a community to own and develop The Radnor Arms to be a traditional independent village pub, with affordable meals and good company. Imagine having somewhere in the village to take visiting friends and family for a drink and a meal, or having a pub with rooms to host visiting friends and family. The pub will be a place to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries and life’s big milestones, without having to do any of the cooking! It’ll also be a great place to pop in after school for chippy teas and a play in the pub garden.

5. This is your chance to have a say

Only shareholders will be able to vote on the pub’s future development and each shareholder holds one vote, regardless of the size of investment. This inclusive model of ownership ensures that everyone who wants to has a voice in shaping the project's direction and the pub's operation, promising to benefit individuals, families and businesses as well the broader community, and is committed to fostering a supportive pub network in the wider area.
